If you’re like most of my readers, you’re a self-motivated person who is always interested in making life a little bit sweeter. You are committed to making yourself better and making the world better in a way that only you can. You may not fully understand but in the deepest part of your heart you feel that there is a level of greatness that hasn’t been exposed. I want to help you release that.
But how? I believe that greatness is achieved one step at time and every post you read is an effort to take you one step closer.
I Invite You On My Journey
I know what its like to feel like I have so much potential that I am not utilizing. I remember what it feels like to not know where to start and to be overwhelmed by the constantly adjusting environment around me.
But What Do I Know?
I’m nothing special. A part-time graduate student, a full-time employee and an All-the-time teller of truths. I’m an aspiring entrepreneur and a former pastor. At the end of the day, I am just some random guy doing what I can in my small world to make the world a little bit better and life a little bit easier. I promise, the stuff you get here will at least be worth what you paid for it.

In regards to “run a marathon,” I recommend doing the couch to 5K (podcasts found on iTunes). It’s really helping me become a distance runner! They also have a 10K one and then you can gradually work your way up to a marathon. Just a thought π I hope you accomplish everything on your list!

So I found your blog from the “infamous” sharing of your “To My Future Wife” post on Facebook (loved it by the way… glad to know there are still some of you Prince Charmings out there.) From that, I went through and read most of the rest of your posts. Just wanted to say I have enjoyed your blog so far! It’s very down-to-earth and practical, for Christians and non-believers alike. Keep it up!

We share the ‘Be on Ellen’ π There’s also a bunch more, but if I listed every single one it would be crazy! I had ‘Have a Foodfight’ as well but I managed to cross it off last year! I talk about it on my blog (http://www.lizzysluggage.com/2012/11/40-completed.html)(I'm on blogger)
I hope you get to experience a food fight as well! I love reading your posts! You’re a great writer! π

Hello,
I would be interested to hear about your experience of being a college student and a youth pastor. How has this experience been? How has God been using this opportunity to work in your life and the life of the youth you are leading?
Also, I want to thank you for posting your letter to your future wife. It is refreshing to know that there are still young men out there with a desire to follow God and want to encourage their future wife to strengthen themselves, appreciate the beauty that God had In mind when he created them and to wait for the person that will fight for them, because they deserve it.

I just found your blog and love it. But I have to ask, since you are obviously single from your “to my future wife” post {which I loved}…… what was your perfect date that you crossed off your list above and who did you go on it with?

Good people like you give me faith in younger generations. Keep up the good work, and if you want to drive across the country, you have a place to stay in North Carolina. I’m not trying to hit on you in anyway, but you can never have enough good people in your life. Let me know if I can ever help you with anything π

I found your ‘To My Future Wife’ post on Facebook from a friend. First off, that was really good. Definitely a good thing to read. Second, reading your “Who Am I” post, I just wanted to comment that if I can quit biting my nails (its tough and I still slip up from time to time) you can too. π
You seem like a great/inspirational person. Keep it up.

I, as I’m sure many others have, found you through the “To My Future Wife” letter. I found it to be truly inspiring and it really spoke to me with where I’m at in my life. It’s wonderful to see guys my age sharing my ideals, makes me feel a lot less alienated and lot more like there will be somebody to grow with one day.
Thank you so much!

Marathon you say? Well buddyo, once you’re ready, come run the “ultimate human race” AkA the Comrades in South Africa! 91Km of pure beauty. Don’t worry, the lions are all in nature reserves (some think we live in the trees with Tarzan’s leaopard skins wrapped around us) , so you won’t be running from them π

“My wife doesn’t exist yet”. That’s creepy. You planning on marrying an 18yo when you’re in your 40s or are you planning on marrying someone imaginary. Seriously hope it’s the 2nd thing.

I read your letter to your future wife first and then this. I thought your letter was really great and had plenty of truth in it. I am currently going to school to become a youth pastor and hope that I can do well at it but I know God will be with me to the end. It is great to know that there are more younger youth pastors out there.

What is your testimony? What are some of the things that the Lord has done in your life? What needed transformations has He reveled to you that you have allowed? Heart operations by the spirit? What fruits of the spirit do you think you bear and which do you still struggle with? When you read “if you want to follow me, you must pick up your cross daily,” what does that mean to you and for you?
